Comparative Study of Oil Recovery Performance under Regular and LoSal Ionic Waterflooding

A B.Tech degree final year major project at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) with a prior focus on the comparative study of oil recovery performance between Regular and LoSal Waterflooding. The project involved field modeling and simulation using CMG software (IMEX Simulator) through the development of static and dynamic models to analyze the oil recovery performance under different injection & waterflooding scenarios and study the key factors influencing the oil recovery in LoSal Waterflooding scenarios.

Conventional Vs. LoSal Waterflooding

The project comparative study of oil recovery performance under conventional and LoSal waterflooding was a B.Tech final year degree project conducted and performed at Pandit deendayal Energy University (PDEU).

The project involved field’s study, literature survey, data collection, development of static and dynamic models and analysis of the results obtained from the model built in CMG (IMEX Simulator).

Different injection patterns, waterflooding scenarios, and injection salinity variants were considered and modeled to study the oil recovery performance of the field. As an end goal of the project, comparative study was performed between Regular and LoSal waterflooding results and key factor influencing oil recovery in LoSal waterflooding were identified.
